I had been preparing for this run for about a week, seeing it in my mind and contemplating the length of time on my feet. This is vital preparation for me before a long run. I see myself running the distance and I feel a different sense of self as I think about it. I […]
Today’s Training For most marathon runners Sunday is long run day and today was the usual 18 mile for me. This will be my standard long run distance for the next while and I’ll rarely do less than this unless I have an event the following weekend. I have a set route through the Phoenix […]
I like the opportunity to go through things I have planned and refine them. I get some good ideas and inspirations when I run. Running for me is a form of meditation, a chance to disconnect from so called “reality”.

It really is something that has captured people. Squat was 90kg- piece o’ cake. Push Press 70kg I struggled […]
Today’s sessions represented a bit of a test. Crossfit session was at 06:30 am followed by a day’s graft and a planned 16 miles in the evening. I knew I had to do it so no resistance was offered, in fact I was looking forward to seeing how the evening session would go.
